MHS Class of ’45 in Reunion at Country Club
Smorgasbord is Followed by Social Evening of Dancing
Maynard – The Maynard High School Class of 1945 held their first reunion in ten years on Saturday, October 8 at the Marlboro Country Club.
Dinner consisted of a Smorgasbord and was followed by entertainment and dancing.
Class Advisor Ruth (Wilson) Colombo spoke, and Richard White was master of ceremonies. Letters received from members of the class unable to attend were read and prizes were awarded to the following: Traveled the furthest: Louise (Dwinell) Arcisz, Newest baby: Dorothy (O’Toole) Ferguson, Most Children: Alice (Syvanen) Thane and Dorothy (O’Toole) Ferguson, Newlyweds: Mr. and Mrs. Edward Lalli.
The reunion was a complete success, and all attending had a very pleasant evening.
The committee in charge of the affair included: Rita (Boothroyd) LeSage, Rose Hansen, Regina (Hinds) Lydon, Alice (Syvanen) Thane, Shirley (Peterson) Sharpe, Barbara (Marchant) Killoran, Morgan Lydon, Richard White, and Albert Crowley.
