A copy or proof of a photograph of Maynard Patrolman Thomas Vincent holding traffic for a group of children at the Douglas Avenue crosswalk on Powder Mill Road used in the 1974 Town Calendar. It was captioned "CO-OPERATE WITH YOUR POLICE".

On the left is the CITGO Service Station owned by George O'Brien. The sign "JENNEY" on the station refers to Jenney Manufacturing Company in City Point, South Boston which produced petroleum products. Jenney auto oil and gasoline became a major supplier by the time of 1920 and was a merged into Cities Service about 1965 and the Jenney name was replaced by CITGO.
NOTE: The original photo had the people badly out of focus, so image enhancement techniques were used to make the faces clearer. The original image is also available.
