"It has been done by the Lord: and it is marvelous in our eyes" Ps. 117:23
Dearest in Christ the Lord:
The year 1912 has been honored in the Catholic life of Poles living abroad, as they organized themselves and began work on establishing a Polish parish, under the patronage of St. Casimir, the Prince. After the preparations, work began to transform and renew the building for the service of God, the Polish church. Although the first parish priest was Fr. Franciszek Jablonski, it fell to the hands of Fr. Jan S. Dziok to consecrate the church in 1928 for the glory of God.
St. Casimir Parish today celebrates the diamond jubilee. What a wonderful view presents itself to our eyes. His Excellency Archbishop Bernard Law, the most dignified arch pastor of this archdiocese, surrounded by priests, prelates, church dignitaries, and clergy, presides. His Excellency Cardinal Law celebrates a painless and bloodless Sacrifice of the Holy Mass, which is a reminder and renewal of the sacrifice on the cross of the Savior of humanity. The Word of God, the family hymn, still resounds in this magnificent sanctuary, and God willing, for many years to come, the parishioners here will worship, praise, and glorify Almighty God in the same language, and pray to Him for grace, mercy, compassion, and heavenly help in times of illness, distress, in bright, joyful moments as well as in life's failures and setbacks.
The anniversary of the parish is a triumph of the holy Church... it is a clear evidence of deep faith, faithful service to God and the Church. Today we express our humble and sincere gratitude and thanks to God.
The booklet contains photos of the five pastors, church groups, and various occasions. It also includes pictures of some of the families in the parish.
