The program outlines two of the many events that was part of the centennial celebration.

This group became Company I, Sixth Regiment Massachusetts Infantry at the time of the Spanish-American War.
The volunteers came from Acton, Concord, Townsend, Sudbury, Waltham, Malden, and two from Maynard: Fred Haigh Marsden and George Oram Rodan.

Before Maynard was incorporated (1871) the area in the vicinity of the woolen mill was referred to as Assabet Village. Not sure what the receipt was for however it looks like Amory Maynard received payment from Lydia Brooks or Thomas Brooks.
